A.V. Damdinov, I.S. Pavlov, A.Ya Shkolnik, E.S. Slesarenko. Networking interaction of school museums in the Russian Federation as a necessary resource for preserving historical memory.
In recent decades, issues related to the education of citizenship and patriotism, the education of respect for their national history have become topical. In this regard, the activities of school museums are gaining increasing importance, especially in the light of modern information and communications technologies. The article examines the modern experience of the «School Victory Museum» in networking interaction with school museums of the Russian Federation, based on which new forms are emerging, focused on the use of the resource of the school museum and the methodology of project activities.

N.S. Baikalov. Memory of the BAM in the Narratives of the Participants of the All-Union Komsomol Construction Project.
The article considers the features of the transformation of the narrative memory of the BAM of the participants of the Аll-Union shock Komsomol construction project during 1974-1989 in the post-Soviet period.

E.V. Nolev. «Standing on the Ugra» in the reflection of scientific, social and educational discourses.
The article examines various interpretations and ways of commemorating the historical significance of the «Great Stand on the Ugra River» based on the analysis of the historiography and the memory studies. In 2019, a bill on establishing a memorable date for Russia «November 11 — the Day of the end of the Great Stand on the Ugra» was submitted to the State duma. This bill accentuated scientific and socio-political discussions regarding the liberation from the Tatar-Mongol yoke and the acquisition of sovereignty by the Moscow state.

History and Society

V.V. Nomogoeva, S.D. Tsyrenov. Military Patriotic Education of School Students during the Great Patriotic War (on the example of Buryatia).
The paper studies the features of the military patriotic education of the secondary school students in Buryatia during the war years. Achievements and shortcomings of universal military training in schools of the republic are analyzed. There are described the initiatives and activities in the field of military patriotic work of the teacher and student communities. Archival materials, newspapers and journals of the war period are used in the study. The authors conclude the military patriotic training solved the main tasks of the Soviet secondary school in organizing nationwide support to contribute to victory. The patriotic education laid the groundwork for the patriotism of the Soviet people for many years.

S.V. Vasilyeva, S.Z. Akhmadulina. Historical significance of the Bible translations into the old Mongolian language in the history of culture of the Republic of Buryatia.
The article is devoted to the history of the Bible translations to the Old Mongolian language and their significance in the history of the culture of Republic Buryatia. The authors review the roles of the Russian Bible Society and the Orthodox Missionary Society in the translation of liturgical and educational literature into the languages of the autochthonous population of the region. Evaluating the activities of missionary societies and educational institutions for the philology of the Mongolian peoples the authors of the article conclude that their work has become an important step in the study of the Mongolian language, from the point of view both applied and academic values.

O.A. Malygina. Interaction of military governors and departments of the Russian Empire in the fight against foreign espionage in Trans-Baikal region (late XIX — early XX century).
Based on archival documents, the article examines the process of interaction between military governors and gendarmes, police, border authorities in the process of combating foreign espionage. Shown is the coordination of the actions of the departments of Trans-Baikal against foreign intelligence during the Russian-Japanese war of 1904-1905. The generalized material made it possible to identify the problems of interaction between the departments of Trans-Baikal in counterintelligence activities.

Methodic

M.G. Tsyrenova, H. Bayarma. How the image of Russia is formed in school Mongolian history textbooks.
The paper considers the problem of studying the history of Russia in Mongolian schools in the context of modernization of education and the current political situation. The article analyzes school history textbooks from Mongolia, how Mongolian consider the problems of studying the history of Russia, what image of a neighboring country is formed among modern schoolchildren of Mongolia.

S.A. Yun-Khay, V.S. Pavlova. Application of web-quest technology in social studies lessons and in extracurricular activities.
The article deals with the use of the interactive web-quest technology in the educational process of a modern school in social studies lessons and in extracurricular activities. The authors show how the implemented web quests contribute to the achievement of key educational results: they allow them to interest students in independent educational research, teach how to perform all stages of educational research work, contribute to the formation of the subject cognitive position of the student, the development of his general o utlook.

D.A. Miyagashev, E.V. Nolev, B.A. Bazarov. Involvement of schoolchildren and students in academic research of the ancient and medieval history of Inner Asia.
The paper presents the content of the educational project implemented by the researchers of the Institute Mongolian, Buddhist and Tibetan studies of SB RAS. The goal of the project is to involve students in research activities, through acquaintance with the process, specifics and methods of work of scientists in the Republic of Buryatia based on archeology. By attracting specialists in Science, the authors of the project demonstrate to young people (schoolchildren and students) the versatility of archeology.

S.V. Vasilyeva, O.A. Volozhanina, D.F. Deryugin. The Role of the Interactive Buryatia Web Portal in the Study of the Regional History.
The article highlights an example of using the resources of the university’s scientific library for educational and communicative goals, which in a new format are aimed at redressing the deficits in the information about the Republic of Buryatia, its culture, literature, and history. The authors emphasize the principles of introducing and using distance learning forms in the educational process, with wide possibilities of using electronic catalogues, electronic libraries, as well as the website of the university library.

S.M. Isakov. Features of the formation of civil position and education of children through children’s media in 1920-1930.
The article is devoted to the problem of the formation of the content of children’s magazines during the formation of the Soviet periodicals. The author analyzes how the content of children’s magazines changed in 1920-1930, touches on the problem of ideological pressure on the children’s press, the formation of patriotic education of children through the media.

E.Z. Dashiev. The history of the evacuation hospitals of Buryatia in the discourse of the formation of historical memory.
The paper is dedicated to the problem of the formation of historical memory in the Republic of Buryatia through the study of the history of enroute hospital located on the area of the Buryat-Mongolian ASSR.The article is devoted to the problem of the formation of historical memory in the Republic of Buryatia. The factors influencing the formation of the historical memory of evacuation hospitals, including scientific research, memorial events, initiatives of public figures, the media, are analyzed.

L.B. Ivanova. The history of the study of higher education in Buryatia by example Buryat State University named after Dorzhi Banzarova.
The article analyzes the fundamental trends in the history of the study of the leading university of Siberia and the Far East — Buryat State University. The works of researchers, scientists and direct participants in the events are considered, which make it possible to trace all stages of the development of the Buryat State Pedagogical Institute and the Buryat State University. Various approaches to the assessment of historical experience have been studied, problem areas of historiographic approaches have been identified, and the contemplations for research topics have been outlined.

Z.Z. Tsyrendashiev. Features of the formation of urban identity in new cities of Buryatia in the 1960s — 1970s (based on materials from the city of Gusinoozersk).
The paper examines the main components of Gusinoozersk urban identity, analyses reasons for their subordination to city-forming enterprises and reveals the role of symbolic factors which have a significant influence on identity formation.
