This article presents a brief overview of the prehistory and history of the Livonian War of 1558-1561 between the Russian state and the Livonian «confederation». In the article the authors also express a number of original interpretations of the aim and tasks that Ivan the Terrible solved in this war.

D.М. Mayboroda. Historical act of Crimea’s return to the Russian Federation: analysis to help school teachers.
The article considers the reasons and factors that led to the reintegration of Crimea into the Russian Federation. The author argues that the historical act of the return of Crimea to Russia has roots going back to the Soviet era and the reality of the Ukrainian socio-economic and political-cultural process.

N.A. Kutyavin. East Slavic paganism and the baptism of Rus in the national educational and pedagogical literature of the XX century.
