Actual theme: Renovation of school history education at the present stage

E.E. Vyazemsky. «The Era of the 2020s» and the modernization of general historical education: a search for approaches.
The article analyzes the global challenges to education in the 2020s, substantiates that the 2020s can become a period of profound transformation of the education system. The leading trends in the development of general and general historical education in the Russian Federation are identified and analyzed, approaches to updating the system of general historical education in the Russian Federation are considered. An analysis of the Concepts of teaching the course «History of Russia» (2020) was carried out, a conclusion was made about the degree of compliance of the Concept with the requirements of the «epoch of the Twenties».

L.N. Aleksashkina. Exemplary work program in history: pedagogical project and ways of its implementation.
In the article the structure and the main components of the Model History curriculum for general schools in Russia (2021) are characterized (including the aims, the expected results of studying history, a topic planning). As to factors which would contribute to the Curriculum realization, the author focuses on the actual educational approaches based on the priority of students’ cognitive activities.

A.V. Lubkov, M.V. Novikov. Russian history textbooks on China’s participation in World War II.
The article is devoted to the issue of coverage of the topics of the participation of China in World War II in educational literature of contemporary history. The events of the Second World War in the context of the Chinese anti-Japanese war continue to remain an acute discussion problem, which is also reflected in the educational literature. The article appeals to this discourse, describing the position of the authors in detail.

V.V. Kirillov. To the question of terminological and historical approaches to the evaluation of the government policy of Alexander III.
The article is devoted to the analysis of various concepts of the historical and terminological understanding of the policy of the government of Emperor Alexander III. The essential evaluative concepts related to the characteristics of this period are considered, such as «counter-reforms», «correction of reforms», «conservative stabilization». It is concluded that the assessment of the policy of Emperor Alexander III, which is well-established and continues to dominate in historical discourse today, requires clarification and even, perhaps, revision in terminological and historical terms.

The article is based on an analysis made by the author’s team of the All-Russian survey of schoolchildren on topics such as history, civic identity and their relationship. According to the results of the article, conclusions were made about the understanding by modern schoolchildren of the importance of history, patriotism and citizenship.

V.M. Ovchinnikov. Virtual tour in history class.
The article discusses the main aspects of the application of such a form of presentation of educational material as a virtual tour. The author demonstrates the concept of instrumentalization of previous experience within the framework of the previously mentioned practice, which is currently turning into a kind of toolkit for teaching history, within the framework of such a trend of its transformation as gamification.

V.S. Merkuryeva, F.A. Taktasheva. The experiens of applying the historical and cultural standard in teaching history teacher.
This article actualizes the need to apply the Historical and Cultural Standard in the preparation of future history teachers. The authors show that the requirements of the Federal State Educational Standard of Higher Education in the field of «Pedagogical Education» are fully consistent with the conceptual foundations of the Historical and Cultural Standard, the use of which contributes to a more successful implementation of the competence-based approach in the educational process.

O.D. Kozhevnikova. The idea of integration in the post-Soviet space in the election campaigns of the Russian political parties.
The author examines the foreign policy of the Russian Federation in the 1990s and early 2000s. This policy was formed by the presidential government, the Foreign Ministry and the political parties. The latter had a significant role in the political process of Russia since 1993. The author compared the party program documents about integration in the post-Soviet space in the 1993-2003 election cycles to the State Duma in the interaction of parties with civil society.
