O.D. Fedorov. A Lesson Between a Rock and a Hard Place: Teacher Practices and Didactic Concepts of Educational Content.
The didactics formulated several concepts describing the content of education, which were adopted by methodologists from different subject areas. The developed teaching methods are used by teachers in everyday practices. It seems to us that this transition from creates a gap that determines the direction of development of general education.

O.B. Soboleva. Teacher training in social Sciences, Herzen state pedagogical University. A. I. Herzen: traditions, state, prospects.
For the first time, the article briefly describes and summarizes the experience of training a social science teacher in the system of higher pedagogical education. Experience is viewed from a historical and geographical perspective. The main object of the research is the modern training of a social science teacher at the Department of methods of teaching history and social science at the Herzen pedagogical University.

E.A. Vonog. Visual images of the Civil War in Russia, as reflected in American and British film and photo documents in terms of the period 1918-1920.
The article provides an overview of American and British film and photo documents in terms of the period 1918-1920, created on the territory of Russia during the Civil War as well as their attribution. In addition, on the basis of these historical sources, visual images of contemporaries of the civil confrontation era, namely «the Reds», «the Whites» and civilian population, were examined and generalized due to conclusions.

E.I. Schulepnikova. Why history was brought back to schools in the 1930s.
There were comprehensive educational programs in 1920s. History as a separated subject wasn’t studied. The state and the pedagogical community have revised their approaches to the subject. Why did this happen? This question is answered by the article.

A.V. Kuchuk. League of Nations as a milestone in international relations and a foundation for the UN.
The article deals with the first universal international organization — the League of Nations. The thesis is put forward that this organization, for all its strengths and weaknesses, was not only based on ideas that existed before it, but also laid the foundation for the entire subsequent development of international relations.

T.V. Evdokimova. Overcoming the «trauma of Stalingrad» in Germany and Russia.
The concepts of «memory trauma», «memory culture», «historical memory» are considered. Both common features and features of the process of transforming the memory of the Battle of Stalingrad in Germany and Russia, ways to overcome the trauma of the memory of Stalingrad are presented.

A.Y. Mudritsky. Anti-fascist partisan and underground movement in 1941-1944 in Belarus occupied by German invaders and role of Soviet security agencies.
The topic of the study has an important historical and political significance. The author of the article analyzed the anti-fascist partisan and underground movement in the Belarusian SSR occupied by the German invaders in 1941-1944 and the role of the Soviet security agencies in it. All the military actions of the Soviet partisans in Belarus were aimed at inflicting maximum damage to the Hitler`s occupation regime.

D.D. Bogoyavlensky, V.A. Ermakov, S.A. Malyshkin, V.V. Khorikhin. School excursion in the modern arsenal of educational technologies and means of education.
The article discusses the development of the practice of using a cognitive excursion as a universal tool for organizing cognitive activity in a school environment. Special attention is paid to the problem of forming practical skills of using the huge cultural and historical potential in future teachers. Using specific examples of the capital region, it is shown how students of pedagogical training areas learn to draw up routes, methodological instructions and excursion texts for new regional excursions on the history of their native land.

V.A. Nepryakhin. Thematic lesson on the biography of Y.A. Gagarin: online laboratory of meanings and meanings.
In the lesson scenario author used a new multimedia product for the study of historical artifacts, organized on the basis of the biography of Yuri Gagarin. The author applied a method of creating biograms as a new method of organizing the study of historical personality by schoolchildren.

S.A. Chekmarev. Two unremarkable anniversaries and one forgotten landing.
The article presents the issue of planning and preparing the Bosporus expedition in the late XIX — early XX centuries. Analysis of the strategy of Russia in the Balkan direction based on the materials of the military and naval archives.

L.R. Ilyasova. I.A. Kushchevsky — «novelist-photographer»: on one parallel of two discussions.
The article examines critical assessments of the novel by I.A. Kushchevsky «Nikolai Negorev, or the Prosperous Russian» and comparing it with photography. The literary discussion of the novel is examined in the context of publicity about photography and the points of their consideration are identified.

A.D. Khasyanova. «Pioneer of the Crimean Press» N.V. Mikhno.
The article reconstructs the biography of a journalist, publisher-editor of the first private newspaper of Crimea and a public figure of the second half of the 19th century. Nikolai Vasilyevich Mikhno. The stages of his journalistic activity in the newspapers «Russian scene», «Crimean leaf», «Salgir» are investigated. And also considered the contribution to the development of the private provincial press in the Tauride province.

May Ifeng. Ethnic problems in Kazakhstan on the example of the Dungans.
The article deals with the formation and development of ethnic policy in Kazakhstan, as well as the origins and causes of interethnic conflicts. The development of ethnic problems against the background of the historical migration of peoples on the territory of Kazakhstan is substantiated. The modern ethnic policy of Kazakhstan is presented, which is based on the cultural, peaceful interaction of large and small ethnic groups.
